Photo a Day Challenge - Day 22

DAY 104

Day 22 - My Shoes

Big day on Sunday - my shoes headed to the 'Big Day Out' festival on the Gold Coast. It was a big day out for sure. My feet even look tired in this photo.

Today is my last post for this photo challenge and this blog. My work commitments have ramped up so much that I have no time for anything else.

I do hope to come back and add blogs from time to time - but the regular posts are a distant memory.
Thanks for following and joining me on this journey. It has been fun for sure!

Photo a Day Challenge - Day 21

DAY 103

Day 21 - Reflection

So another sad truth.
I rarely like photos of myself - so I was reticent to take another self-portrait for this project.
I scoured my house for another reflection to record - but had no luck.
So to the mirror I returned.

Recently I have realised that the amount of photos of myself depends entirely on my own self confidence.
- Feeling fit and skinny - bring on the photos!
- Feeling a bit round - run away, run away! Hide from judging eyes.

I think "I can't have this moment remembered forever. I don't even want to see myself'.
Then I realise that whole years of my life are missing because I was appalled at my own reflection.
Like I was missing.
Lost. Hidden. Ashamed.
What a sadness.
What a waste.
What a lack of confidence in my creator.

I'm working on it though.
I'm not running from the camera any more.
This is me.
Today.
With an unforgiving lens reflecting life.
The way it should be.

Day 20 - Someone I Love

Molly.
Cat's are someone's too I think.
I love how she is happy to see me.
I love a little less how she is always happier to see other people though.
She is a fickle female feline.
A dangerous combination.
Maybe not unlike myself,
though I am remarkably un-feline-like.

DAY 101

Day 19 - Sweet

There is something about this tea set that just makes me think 'sweet'.

The cups are the size of a child's tea-set - you get 5 sips and then you are all done.

The white cups have a gold trim and picture of a lady in a dress with a giant skirt. I can imagine she would have enjoyed drinking out of these sweet little cups. She probably would have enjoyed doing needlepoint and saying things like 'Frankly, my dear' and 'Oh Rhett!'.

I like the look of this tea-set on my shelves, and I look forward to tea parties with my nieces and nephews - but give me a proper sized cup any day. I like my tea-time to last more than 3 minutes.

Day 18 - Something I bought.

I blogged about my sparkly diamonds last year - and I still love them just as much every day.

Day 17 - Water

Lots of water around today - raining, raining, raining.

Day 16 - Morning

I have a confession to make. I am a day late with this blog. Reason - by the time I looked at the photo subject for yesterday it was well past morning. More like after-noon.

So I just delayed things for a day.
This was my morning today. Some days I wake up before my alarm and reward myself with reading my book for 20minutes or so.

That is always a good morning.
